Nothing is charged up front. After the free tier, our fee accrues as a share of
what compression saved you. We charge the card on file when the balance reaches
$50, and close any remainder at the end of the month (minimum $1).

Monthly spending limit
A ceiling on our fee, not on what your provider charges you —
your provider bill is on your own account and we cannot see or cap it.
Leave empty for no limit. Fees are counted after each request, so the
request that crosses the limit still goes through.

Save output tokens too
By default CompresLM compresses input context (fee = 20% of input dollar savings).
Set compress_output: true on a chat request to also save
completion tokens — measured at 100% accuracy with large cuts in completion tokens
on GPT-4o, Claude Sonnet, and o3-mini.
With output compression on, our fee is 50% of the same input dollar savings
(fee base stays input — always computable). Output-token savings on the provider bill stay yours.
